Snapseed launches its first major update since 2021 with new interface and filters
Google has released Snapseed 3.0 for iPhone and iPad, its first major update to the photo editing app for iOS since 2021. TThe update brings a redesigned interface for iOS, focused on improving usability. A key addition is the new "Faves" section at the center of the bottom toolbar, allowing users to save and quickly access their most-used editing tools.
Along with the new Faves section, the toolbar layout has shifted. The "Looks" tab remains on the left, but the previous "Export" option on the right has been replaced by "Tools." The export function itself is now accessed from the top-right corner of the screen, changing the export workflow for existing users. The update also introduces new vintage filters to expand creative possibilities, joining the app’s existing support for RAW and JPG editing.
No news of an Android version was announced, with Google stating there is currently "nothing to share" for that platform.
