ONLYOFFICE Docs & Desktop Editors 9.0 launches with new UI, Diagram Viewer & new AI tools

ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.0 introduces a redesigned interface with Modern Light and Dark themes across web, desktop, and mobile platforms, along with over 20 new features and 500 bug fixes across its editors. The update expands format support to Markdown (.md), OpenDocument Graphics (.odg), and Excel Binary Workbooks (.xlsb), while also adding a built-in Diagram Viewer for opening Microsoft Visio (.vsdx) files without third-party tools.

AI-powered features now include OCR for scanned PDFs, spreadsheet automation, and macro generation or Visual Basic for Applications conversion. The PDF Editor supports real-time form collaboration, drag-and-drop page reordering, and quick duplication. Document editing adds toolbar-based paragraph borders and enhanced content controls. Spreadsheets support data import from other sheets and asynchronous macro calculations. Presentations now display animated text in slideshow mode.

On the desktop, version 9.0 introduces a redesigned start window for easier access. Windows installers offer file association options, and Linux users can enable or disable automatic spelling language detection based on keyboard settings. Direct document printing without calling the system print dialog is also now available on desktop platforms.
