2FA app Aegis 3.4 brings haptic feedback, multi-group filters, and duplicate entry warning

Aegis, the free and open source app for Android two-step verification management, has released version 3.4 with multiple user experience upgrades. Most notably, the update introduces haptic feedback that vibrates the device as a verification token is about to expire, giving users a tactile cue for urgent actions.

In addition, users can now apply filters across multiple groups at once and toggle the brightness increase in the entry transfer view. Additionally, a warning prompt now appears before saving any entry with a duplicate name and issuer, helping users avoid mistakes when handling similar accounts. The update also improves the color contrast on hidden codes, supporting better accessibility and visibility.

Besides these updates, Aegis 3.4 adds five new translations: Estonian, Korean, Malayalam, Norwegian (Bokmål), and Serbian. The release concludes with several bug fixes that further stabilize and refine the app’s performance.
