Stremio launches a new VR app on Meta Quest devices with enhanced video features

Stremio has launched a VR version of its app for Meta Quest devices, including the Quest 3, 3S, 2, and Pro models. Users can download Stremio VR from the Horizon Store by searching for "stremio." The app supports a variety of VR video formats, such as 180, 190, 200, 220, and 360-degree, as well as 3D video types like Half – Side By Side and Full – Over Under.

A new HDR tone mapping feature enhances video quality, addressing the lack of native HDR support on Meta Quest devices. Currently, navigation and playback require controllers, but gesture support is planned for future updates.

Stremio VR aims to provide an immersive theater experience and encourages community developers to create addons with 3D and VR videos.
