Snap Inc. launches Sponsored AI Lenses for enhanced brand engagement
Snapchat has introduced Sponsored AI Lenses, a new advertising tool that uses its generative AI technology to create branded AI Lenses. This format allows users to blend their selfies into AI-generated scenes, such as 90s hairstyles or Wild West settings. The Sponsored AI Lenses build on the Video Gen AI Lenses feature available to Snapchat+ Platinum users earlier in March.
This product seeks to accelerate the content creation process for brands by removing the need for 3D and VFX design third-party software, cutting down production time. Snap offers AI-generated templates to aid in creative development, allowing brands to achieve 25-45% more daily impressions by being prominently featured in the Camera interface. Companies like Uber and Tinder have already seen increased user interaction with these lenses compared to standard ones. The Sponsored AI Lenses can be accessed through Snapchat's Lens Carousel.
