
GitLab 17.10 update brings Duo Code Review, Root Cause Analysis, GLQL views, and much more
GitLab has rolled out version 17.10 of its DevSecOps platform, introducing several new features and enhancements. The release includes the beta availability of Duo Code Review, designed to expedite the development process. Users of GitLab Duo Self-Hosted can now access Duo Root Cause Analysis, which supports Mistral, Anthropic, and OpenAI GPT model families, enabling faster troubleshooting of CI/CD pipeline failures while maintaining data sovereignty.
GitLab Dedicated customers can choose from an expanded list of AWS regions for hosting their disaster recovery failover instance. The update also features the beta introduction of GitLab Query Language (GLQL) views, allowing for dynamic, real-time work tracking within existing workflows. Enhancements to GitLab Flavored Markdown have been made, alongside the addition of the Projects by DORA metric panel to the Value Streams Dashboard, providing a breakdown of projects by the four DORA metrics.
Issues now share a common framework with epics and tasks, offering real-time updates and workflow enhancements. Description templates for work items are introduced to streamline workflows and maintain consistency across projects. Additionally, users can now manually adjust the severity of specific vulnerability occurrences to better meet organizational security requirements. The release also includes various other improvements and bug fixes.
