Apple updates Final Cut Pro with Image Playground integration, and more new features
The latest update for Final Cut Pro on iPad and macOS introduces the new Image Playground, Apple's AI-driven tool for creating stylized images using descriptions, suggested concepts, or the Photos Library. The update also improves iPad workflow by adding support for portrait orientation editing and new keyboard shortcuts for efficient editing, such as selection nudging, gap replacement, and lifting/overwriting to the primary storyline. The app now also supports 50fps video capture for smoother motion and increased post-production flexibility.
The update enhances the Final Cut Camera feature, allowing users to switch quickly to the 48mm telephoto lens on iPhone 14 Pro or later for better framing and zoom capabilities. It also introduces support for Apple Log LUT, enabling Log video playback in SDR or HDR while maintaining scene vibrancy, requiring iPhone 15 Pro or later.
Additionally, users with an iPhone 16 or later can record videos in Spatial Audio for a more immersive sound experience, and the Final Cut Camera is now aligned with 50fps recording support, enhancing video editing and recording capabilities on Apple's mobile devices.
