Web browser Floorp 12 beta brings seperated settings page, enhanced workspaces, and more
Ablaze has launched the first beta of Floorp 12, a customizable and privacy-focused web browser built on Firefox. This release introduces a separated settings page, simplifying access to Floorp’s unique features without confusing them with Firefox’s built-in settings. Additionally, for the first time since Floorp 8, the developers are using Rapid Release Firefox as their base, allowing users to enjoy the latest Firefox features alongside Floorp's innovations.
The “Browser Manager Sidebar” has been rebranded as the “Panel Sidebar” and now includes a floating mode for enhanced flexibility. Workspaces are now shared across windows, enhancing multitasking capabilities. However, workspace management and adding panel sidebars via the dialog are still under development and will be available in future updates.
Floorp 12 also debuts “Artifact Build,” a new technology that drastically reduces release time to just a few minutes. The beta version is currently available for Linux and Windows, with a macOS release expected soon.
