PeaZip 10.3 released with enhanced performance, GNOME/KDE integration, and more
PeaZip has launched version 10.3.0 of its cross-platform file archiver utility and RAR extractor, introducing numerous improvements and bug fixes. This update enhances archive management functions, including handling archives with errors, automatic browsing of compressed TAR archives, task progress display, and improved context menu integration in GNOME and KDE environments.
The new style submenu feature allows users to customize the app's file and archive manager appearance with a single click, offering four pre-set layouts: minimal, classic, modern, and postmodern. Additionally, PeaZip 10.3.0 now supports VMware .ova files and Minecraft archive file types. Users can limit auto-browsing of TAR files within compressed TAR archives to specific sizes, reducing time-consuming operations.
On the backend, this version employs Pea 1.23, and improves performance, resulting in a 25% reduction in startup times and a 20% decrease in memory usage. The update also includes several other enhancements and bug fixes, further optimizing the software's performance and reliability.
