Immich 1.127 introduces manual face tagging, enhanced memories, and fixed vulnerability

Immich has rolled out version 1.127 of its self-hosted photo and video backup solution, incorporating several enhancements and bug fixes. This update introduces a new feature allowing users to manually tag faces in photos or videos when the machine learning model fails to detect them, and also provides the option to remove incorrect automatic tags made by the clustering algorithm.

The Memories feature has undergone its first round of functional enhancements. Previously, memories were generated on the fly, but they are now pre-generated, resulting in a faster timeline. Users can now interact with memories by liking and modifying their content, paving the way for more complex memory features in the future.

On the web interface, users can now utilize the star rating feature as a search filter criterion. The management page for external libraries has also been updated to display both photo and video counts. Additionally, when creating a new external library, the system now prompts for an import path immediately, streamlining the onboarding process. Lastly, this update addresses a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability, enhancing the overall security of the platform.
