Bear introduces a read-only mode and 4 new themes for enhanced note-taking experience
Bear has released version 2.3.11 of its Markdown note-taking application for macOS and iOS, featuring notable enhancements and bug fixes. The update introduces a read-only mode, allowing users to scroll through notes without the risk of accidental edits. This mode can be activated via the menu, with an icon indicating its status, and easily switched back to editable mode when needed.
Additionally, Bear has expanded its theme offerings with four new options: Shibuya Jazz, Shibuya Lo-fi, Everforest Light, and Everforest Dark. Shibuya Jazz and Lo-fi are optimized for AMOLED screens, featuring an absolute black background. Everforest Light and Dark themes are inspired by the Vim theme Everforest, offering a warm and soft aesthetic with mild contrast.
Additionally, this update also includes various minor improvements and bug fixes, enhancing the overall user experience of the application.
