Armbian 25.2 released with Linux 6.12 kernel, support for new boards, and much more
The Armbian team has announced the release of version 25.2 of their Linux distribution for ARM development boards, featuring significant enhancements and bug fixes. This version is based on the Linux 6.12 LTS kernel and expands support to several new single-board computers, including Rock 2A and 2F, NanoPi R3S, and many others.
Key improvements in this release include updates for Rockchip 3588, with enhancements to the HDMI driver, USB3, and Bluetooth support. Wireless capabilities have been bolstered with the addition of RTW88 drivers and kernel stability fixes, alongside a new automatic wireless testing infrastructure.
Armbian 25.2 enhances its application support, enabling deployment of tools such as AdGuard Home, Pi-Hole, Home Assistant, Nextcloud, and more. Bootloaders have been updated to the latest stable versions, ensuring improved reliability.
The update also expands Armbian’s build and mirror network with new sites in Amsterdam, Vienna, and Nuremberg, and upgrades its Content Delivery Network (CDN) to better support users globally, particularly those affected by conflicts. Additionally, torrent download speeds have been improved by mirroring GitHub downloads at Armbian's CDN.
