AWS expands AI lineup with Nova 2 models and launches Nova Forge for custom AI

Amazon Web Services has expanded its proprietary AI lineup with the Nova 2 model family, adding four models focused on reasoning, multimodality, and speech for enterprise needs.

The lineup includes Nova 2 Lite for cost efficient text, image, and video tasks, Nova 2 Pro for more complex work such as coding with support for speech, Nova 2 Sonic for speech to speech conversational AI, and Nova 2 Omni for multimodal reasoning and generation across text, image, video, and speech.

AWS also introduced Nova Forge, a platform for creating custom frontier scale Nova variants called Novellas. Priced from 100 thousand dollars per year, it offers access to pre trained, mid trained, or post trained models that enterprises can adapt with proprietary data while preserving core reasoning capabilities.
