YouTube rolls out Edit with AI to streamline Shorts creation on iOS and Android
YouTube is rolling out Edit with AI, a new feature designed to help creators transform raw footage from their camera roll into an initial draft for Shorts videos. This tool can identify and arrange highlights from your selected clips, allowing users to focus on refining the story, perfecting timing, and adding style rather than sorting through footage manually.
While the AI handles the initial edit, users retain the ability to customize the draft further. Edit with AI is available through Shorts creation tools in the primary YouTube app on both iOS and Android, and also within the YouTube Create app on Android. Following this initial rollout, the tool is expected to reach more users in both Shorts and YouTube Create over the coming months.
To start, creators can upload photos or videos from their device and select from various AI-powered editing styles. Some of these styles include adding an AI voiceover, which is currently available in English and Hindi on the YouTube Create app, with plans to bring this feature to Shorts-supported editing tools soon.

Youtube shorts is already bad as it is with AI/porn ads, contend, and bots, and now they're simplifying the process? Literally an industrial engine of slop content.
