Google Opal mini-app builder expands globally, now available in over 160 countries
Google has expanded Opal, its no-code AI mini-app builder, from 16 countries to more than 160. Following its debut in the United States on July 24 and a later rollout to regions like Canada, India, Japan, Brazil, and South Korea, Opal is now accessible to most global users. The tool remains in Google Labs as an experimental project, meaning some features may still be under development.
Opal lets users create multi-step workflow applications by describing their goals in natural language, with no coding required. The platform then builds an interactive flowchart that automates tasks such as extracting and analyzing web data, exporting results to Google Sheets, and generating reports or analysis tools. Kinda similar to other new node-based AI content creation tools like FLORA.
Google says creators and marketers are using Opal for large-scale content generation, including blog posts, social media captions, and video ad scripts from a single idea. It can also generate images with text overlays and assist writers in drafting narratives, developing scripts, and producing voiceovers.
