CoMaps updates OSM dataset, adds non-paved routes & more POI features

CoMaps has released v2025.11.19-2 with updated OpenStreetMap dataset to November 16 and adds an option to avoid paved roads for users who prefer non-paved routes. The update also introduces faster map generation, reduces duplicate uploads, and improves the handling of feature editing in the OSM editor.

The release expands mapped amenities with lifebuoys, emergency access points, soup kitchens, food banks, car pooling spaces and many other POIs. Map rendering gains trees, seamarks, sand areas and clearer entrance types, along with updated iconography and labeling. Bus stop icons are now smaller and appear earlier, and new hexagon road shields roll out across several European countries with a custom version for Hungary.

Android now shows opening and closing times in place pages and search, adds new editing options and includes several UI refinements. On iOS, routing options gain icons and Apple CarPlay receives stability fixes.
