Spotify rolls out redesigned Apple TV app with video podcasts and music videos

Spotify has launched a redesigned Apple TV app, rebuilt for better speed, visuals, and usability. Released alongside tvOS 26, it features a new Liquid Glass UI optimized for large screens.

The update adds video podcasts and music videos, previously limited to mobile. Music video playback is rolling out in the U.S. and Canada and is already available in 97 other countries. When a track includes a video, users see a “switch to video” prompt, while video podcasts now support playback speed adjustments.

The app also includes Spotify Connect for remote control, real-time lyrics, queue management, and continuous playback across devices. Spotify DJ recommendations are now available on TV, and while automatic updates arrive by mid-November, users can already download the new version from the App Store.
