Contra relaunches with Community feature, transforming into a full creative network
Contra, the online design community and portfolio platform, has launched a new update called “The new Contra,” introducing a community feature that transforms it from a portfolio tool like Dribbble, Layers, or Behance, into a professional network similar to X but built specifically for designers, developers, and creators.
The cornerstone of the redesign is the new Contra feed, which acts as a central hub for users to post work, share ideas, and connect with collaborators or clients, kind of like a regular Twitter feed but full of shiny design boxes. Designers can now showcase projects and tools, while others can discover and interact with the community and potential client opportunities directly through the platform.
Contra emphasizes authenticity by featuring verified creatives with proven project histories and removes commission fees so users keep 100% of their earnings. Additionally, it removes commission fees by letting creators handle proposals, contracts, and payments within a commission-free system.
