WinDirStat, a popular disk usage statistics viewer and cleanup assistant for Microsoft Windows, has launched version 2.2.0. This update introduces several enhancements and bug fixes aimed at improving user experience and performance.
Key features of the new version include a “Largest Files” tab, an increased number of colorized extensions in TreeMap, and added file extension information to the duplicate list. Performance improvements have been made in duplicate detection and during the refresh of selected items.
The update also introduces a cleanup option to disable hibernate and adds additional metadata to the MSI installer. A modified Chocolatey installer now allows for internalization, enabling production and beta versions to update each other, and improves the legacy installer cleanup logic.
