Rise Calendar is shutting down. Users are urged to export their data by March 31, 2025

After more than four years of development, the Rise Calendar team has announced the closure of their company and product. Despite making notable progress in the past year, they were unable to gain enough traction to establish a sustainable business or secure additional funding.

Although they overcame technical challenges and introduced innovations in calendar design, Rise struggled to meet user expectations and achieve widespread adoption amidst stiff competition from established players like Clockwise, Reclaim.ai, Cron Calendar (now turned en Notion Calendar), or Amie.

The Rise Calendar will remain operational until March 31st, 2025, allowing users to export their tasks and projects to preserve their data or transfer it to another platform. After this date, all user data stored on Rise will be permanently erased, although events synced with external platforms like Google Calendar or Outlook.com will remain accessible there. Active subscriptions will be automatically canceled, with refunds provided for the unused portion of annual subscriptions. The Rise team expressed sadness over the closure and urged users to export their data before the shutdown, ensuring a smooth transition process with customer support available to assist users.
