Zorin OS 17.2 released with Linux kernel 6.8, new customization options & security patches

Zorin OS has released version 17.2, bringing a slew of enhancements to improve both the desktop experience and system performance. This update is powered by the same Linux kernel 6.8 as Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, offering updated drivers for better hardware support, including Intel Core Ultra processors, AMD Zen 5 CPUs, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20, 30, and 40 series graphics cards.

Zorin Appearance has received notable updates, including the option to disable and re-enable overlay scrollbars and more settings for personalizing app window behavior. The release also includes updated software like LibreOffice 24.8 and other pre-installed apps, enhancing the out-of-the-box experience. Security has been bolstered with the latest patches pre-installed, and support for the Zorin OS 17 series will continue until June 2027.
