X will soon allow blocked users to continue viewing posts from public accounts
X is set to update its blocking feature to allow users you've blocked to view your public posts, although they still won't be able to interact with them. Elon Musk clarified that blocking someone will stop them from engaging with your posts but won't prevent them from seeing your public content. Previously, blocked users would encounter a “You’re blocked” message when attempting to view a blocker’s profile, including posts, media, followers, and replies.
Although not yet implemented, the argument for this change is that blocked users can still view posts by logging out or using another account, making the current system ineffective. This adjustment aligns with Musk's criticism of the block button, which he has stated "makes no sense" and should be replaced with a stronger mute function. Musk had previously considered removing the block feature entirely, except for direct messages, but it remains with reduced functionality.
The new approach raises concerns for users, as blocked individuals can still monitor posts, potentially enabling continuous harassment or stalking. While blocked users cannot comment, like, or retweet a blocker’s posts, they can still track the content, undermining the original intent of blocking. Some users feel this change dilutes the block button's effectiveness, which previously offered more comprehensive protection from unwanted followers.

Comments
Good, people need to stop using the block button as a shield from criticism. Pro tip: you don't HAVE to read any comments, you can ignore the notification all together.
This might be the first change to twitter done by Space Karen that actually makes some sense
