scrcpy 2.7 launches with gamepad support and enhanced frame rate control

scrcpy, a free and open-source tool for mirroring Android devices on computers, has launched version 2.7. This update introduces gamepad support, allowing users to play Android games with controllers like PS4/PS5 or Xbox gamepads connected to their computers, as long as the game itself supports gamepads.

Additionally, scrcpy 2.7 now accepts floating point values for frame rate limitations, enabling users to set frame rates lower than 1 fps. This feature is particularly useful for creating time-lapse videos, such as capturing one frame every five seconds.

The update also includes specific fixes for ONYX devices, an upgrade to SDL 2.30.7 for Windows releases, and a variety of other technical improvements.
