Parallels Desktop has unveiled its latest iteration, Parallels Desktop 20, featuring the new Parallels AI package that offers secure, downloadable virtual machines to boost offline AI development skills. The update is fully compatible with macOS Sequoia and Windows 11 24H2, and includes a new management portal for its enterprise edition, enhancing the experience for Windows, macOS, and Linux virtual machines.

Notable improvements for Mac users include enhanced stability on macOS Sequoia, AI-powered writing tools for Windows applications, and better security through updated macOS APIs. Additionally, macOS Sequoia now supports Apple ID sign-in on macOS virtual machines running on Apple Silicon. For Windows 11 24H2, the update brings fixes for the NVMe driver, streamlined installation on Intel-based Macs, improved mouse cursor positioning, and dynamic VM window resizing.

Parallels remains the first Microsoft-authorized solution for running ARM versions of Windows 11 on Mac, now with natural language control via Microsoft Copilot integrated into the Parallels Visual Studio Code extension.
