Sony launches PlayStation accessories app for PC to customize DualSense Edge controller

Sony has launched a new PlayStation Accessories app for Windows, allowing PC users to fully customize their DualSense Edge controller. The app, available for download on Windows, streamlines the process of modifying settings and updating the controller's firmware. Users can connect their DualSense Edge controller to their PC via USB cable or Bluetooth to access the app's features.

The PlayStation Accessories app provides detailed customization options, including changing button layouts, adjusting Stick Sensitivity/Deadzone, Trigger Deadzone, and Vibration/Trigger Effect Intensity. This new software is essentially a rebranded version of the "Firmware updater for DualSense wireless controller," as noted in the Version 2.0.0.13 patch notes. Significant improvements have been made to the app's design and user experience, making it more functional and user-friendly.

Sony advises updating both the app and the controller to take full advantage of the latest features and improvements, although it's important to note that standard DualSense controller users can still update the firmware, but customization options won't be available. PlayStation has shared a tweet showcasing some of the main features of the new app.
