Proton launches secure cloud storage, file sharing, and document editing for businesses

Swiss company Proton has unveiled Proton Drive for Business, a new service offering secure and private cloud storage, file sharing, and document editing aimed at businesses. Proton Drive ensures that all stored, shared, and edited files are protected with strong encryption, maintaining data security and compliance by default. Only users and their chosen recipients can access the files, safeguarding data even if Proton's servers are compromised.

To mark the launch, Proton is offering a 25% discount on the Drive Professional annual plan, reducing the cost to $5.99 per user per month from the usual $7.99. This launch presents a compelling option for companies currently using services from Google, Microsoft, or Dropbox, seeking a more privacy-focused solution.

The basic plan (only Drive) offers 1TB of space, is encrypted end-to-end (and so, your data is not used to train AI) and has got 1-year file history. Adding other options (Mail, VPN, Pass) cost a little but knowing that data can be safe and secure even in the cloud is priceless.
