Microsoft to deprecate Paint 3D app, removal from store set for November 4, 2024
Microsoft will deprecate the Paint 3D app later this year, removing it from the Microsoft Store on November 4, 2024. After this date, users will no longer be able to download the app, and Microsoft will stop providing updates, effectively ending any further development or support for Paint 3D.
Paint 3D was initially introduced as part of Microsoft's 3D objects initiative, aligning with the company's ambitions for HoloLens and 3D object scanning on Windows Phones. Despite early praise for its innovative features and new interface, users largely preferred the simplicity of the classic Microsoft Paint app, leading to a decline in Paint 3D’s popularity.
Ironically, Microsoft had once planned to replace the classic Paint app with Paint 3D, but backlash from users forced the company to retain the original Paint, and now the company is deprecating Paint 3D while revitalizing the classic Paint app with a modern interface and features that make it a more appealing option.

That's true. I still preferred classic Paint. The only thing I preferred in 3d was the transparency ability. It's good to know I wasn't alone. I sorta worried that in an office setting I might be out of the loop and less adept for not using 3d in general.
Big tech at it again
And nothing of value was lost.
