Deepin 23 released with AI integration, Atomic updates, and enhanced desktop environment

Deepin has unveiled version 23 of its Linux distribution, built on the Linux 6.6 LTS kernel. This release integrates AI capabilities and introduces numerous new features and enhancements. The system repository packages have been comprehensively upgraded, enhancing stability and security while supporting new hardware architectures like ARM64, RISC-V, and LoongArch64.

A notable addition is the Atomic Updates mechanism, which minimizes disk space usage during updates and provides robust system backup and rollback capabilities. Deepin 23 also debuts Linyaps, a packaging system akin to Flatpak and Snapcraft, enabling cross-platform application distribution.

The desktop environment has received significant upgrades, including improved taskbars and workspaces, along with redesigned components. Enhanced cross-device file transfer, operation sharing capabilities, and improved cloud sync are also part of this release.

Deepin 23 integrates the latest UOS AI client, connecting to major AI model interfaces both domestically and internationally, allowing users to interact with large language models through Q&A sessions.
