Vanilla OS has launched the stable release of its version 2, named “Orchid”, marking a significant milestone after nearly eight months since the first alpha version. This complete rewrite of the immutable and atomic Linux distribution aims to redefine simplicity and performance, catering to a wide range of users including web surfers, gamers, developers, and designers.
Vanilla OS 2 “Orchid” introduces smart updates that operate when your device is idle, ensuring your system remains up-to-date without interrupting your workflow. The new PRIME utility allows seamless switching between integrated and discrete GPUs, optimizing performance and power usage based on your needs.
