Microsoft Xbox Cloud Gaming app for Amazon Fire TV sticks is now available to download

Microsoft has started rolling out its previously announced Xbox Cloud Gaming TV app for select Amazon Fire TV Sticks. Initially, the app is available on the Fire TV 4K Max (2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023), allowing users to stream Xbox games directly to their TVs. Users need a compatible Fire TV Stick, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

This development marks the first time the Xbox TV app is accessible on devices other than Samsung's TVs and monitors. Microsoft has indicated plans to further expand Xbox Cloud Gaming to include users' entire Xbox libraries, though some games may not be available due to publisher restrictions. Rather than creating dedicated cloud gaming hardware, Microsoft is focusing on extending the availability of the Xbox TV app across more devices.
