Microsoft is now removing ads from Skype on all platforms

Microsoft has announced new features for Skype, now available to testers in its "Skype Insider Program." The latest update eliminates ads from all sections of the platform, including channels and chat lists, resulting in a cleaner and more user-friendly design. While MSN articles accessed within Skype may still contain some ads, the overall interface is now ad-free, according to the official release notes.

Microsoft has pledged to provide an ad-free experience across all platforms, including mobile, Linux, and macOS. Further updates are anticipated to address the remaining ads in MSN articles, ensuring a consistent ad-free experience across the entire platform.

In addition, the update also enhances Skype's Copilot integration with a new "AI image creation" tool. This feature allows users to generate images directly from the chat window and view them in an expanded format by clicking on them.
