Joplin 3.0 has been released with 2FA, a new trash folder, and mobile plugin support

Joplin, the open-source note-taking application, has launched version 3.0, introducing several significant enhancements. A new trash folder feature allows deleted notes or notebooks to be moved to a dedicated folder, with options for permanent deletion after a set number of days. Security has been bolstered with multi-factor authentication (MFA) now supported across Joplin Cloud and all Joplin applications.

Users can now enjoy multiple columns in the note list, enabling the display and sorting of various note properties. The plugin API has been updated to simplify app customization, and the new version also supports loading PDFs and creating images from them, useful for generating thumbnails. Additionally, right-clicking on an image or PDF now reveals the associated OCR (Optical Character Recognition) data.

Most of these updates are available on mobile platforms (iOS and Android), which now also support plugins, further enhancing the app's versatility.
