Budgie 10.9.2 released with enhanced terminal app support, Wayland progress, and bug fixes
Budgie, an independent, free and open-source desktop environment for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems, has just released version 10.9.2, marking the second minor release in the Budgie 10.9 series. This update addresses several bugs related to notifications, the workspace applet, and the TabSwitcher, among others.
Key improvements include the Budgie menu now displaying applications that are terminal-based. Additionally, the TabSwitcher will no longer show an empty switcher when there are no windows to switch between. The Budgie run dialog has fixed a regression that caused it to appear in task switchers due to the setting of skip pager and taskbar not being called during construction.
Another significant fix ensures that clicking the close button on a notification will no longer trigger its default action. Concurrently, the Budgie team continues to make progress on their Wayland porting efforts in preparation for the upcoming 10.10 release.
