WhatsApp has launched a chat filters feature to enhance messages search

WhatsApp has launched a new chat filters feature, designed to enhance message searches by allowing users to filter their chats based on filters like "All", "Unread" or "Group messages". This feature also provides the option to pin up to three messages at the top of the chat list for easy access.

The "All" filter displays all messages in the inbox, while the "Unread" filter highlights conversations that are yet to be opened or read. The "Groups" filter consolidates all group chats, including Communities' subgroups. The Chat Filters feature is rolling out starting today and is expected to be available to all users within the next few weeks.

In addition to chat filters, WhatsApp is also developing improvements to channels, status updates, media sharing, and privacy settings.
