Spotify introduces AI-generated playlist based on text prompts in the UK and Australia

Spotify has recently announced the beta release of AI Playlist, a new feature for Spotify Premium subscribers. This tool aims to enhance music discovery and curation by leveraging Spotify's personalization technology and artificial intelligence.

AI Playlist is currently available to users on Android and iOS devices in the United Kingdom and Australia. To create a new playlist with AI Playlist, users simply need to type a unique prompt into the chat. These prompts can reference a wide range of topics, including places, animals, activities, movie characters, colors, emojis, genres, moods, artists, and decades.

Spotify emphasizes that this tool is designed to cater to both beginners and expert playlist creators, delivering a tailored musical mix based on the input prompts. However, it's important to note that the tool is still in beta and won't produce results for non-music-related prompts, such as current events or specific brands.

In addition to this, Spotify has implemented measures to handle offensive prompts. As the tool is still in beta, Spotify plans to continue iterating and innovating on the experience.
