Nitrux 3.4.1 “mi” released with Linux Kernel 6.8, OpenRazer, Gamescope, and much more
Nitrux, a systemd-free Linux distribution powred by Debian and KDE Plasma, has rolled out its 3.4.1 version, dubbed “mi”. This release is powered by the Linux 6.8 (Liquorix) kernel series and brings together the latest software updates, bug fixes, performance upgrades, and ready-to-go hardware support.
The new version introduces Safe-rm, a tool designed to prevent accidental deletion of vital files, and PowerTOP, a Linux tool for diagnosing power consumption and power management issues. Debugfs is also included, providing kernel developers with a straightforward way to make information accessible in the user space.
The update features OpenRazer, a suite of Linux drivers for Razer devices, offering kernel drivers, DBus services, and Python bindings to interact with the DBus interface. Additionally, it integrates fprint, a project aimed at enabling support for consumer fingerprint reader devices on Linux.
Nitrux 3.4.1 adds a boot parameter permitting utilities like CoreCtrl to override power features for AMD graphics cards using the “amdgpu” MESA driver. An X11 configuration file is also included to enable overclocking for NVIDIA graphics cards.
