Google reportedly plans to shift reminder feature from Keep to Google Tasks

Google is reportedly planning to move the reminder feature from Google Keep to Google Tasks, following a previous series of enhancements that introduced a new Kanban view on Google Tasks earlier this year. The speculation is based on code found in Keep by AssembleDebug, suggesting an impending shift of reminders to Google Tasks.

The code, discovered in version 2024.04.08.624881071.1-release of Keep, contains hidden flags and a URL, hinting that migrated reminders may appear in a list titled "Tasks from Keep." This move might eventually result in the removal of the reminders feature from Keep Notes entirely.

Currently, activating these hidden flags has not led to any visible changes, implying the transition is still in progress. The found URL leads to Keep's online support hub but does not provide any migration information. Although the evidence points towards a likely migration, it's difficult to determine a specific timeline for now.
