Dropbox introduces end-to-end encryption, Microsoft Teams & Copilot integration, and more
Dropbox, a leading cloud storage provider, has unveiled its Spring 2024 release. The release introduces end-to-end encryption for business teams, Microsoft Co-Authoring, Dropbox Replay features, and more.
The new end-to-end encryption feature enhances file protection, ensuring only the intended parties can access them. Users can also establish a unique encryption key managed by FIPS 140-2 Level 3 key management services, offering a higher level of security and simplified management of all team Dropbox files.
The release also includes integrations with Microsoft Teams, Co-Authoring, and Copilot, designed to assist teams in staying organized and working more efficiently with content stored in Dropbox.
Dropbox Replay introduces features aimed at accelerating sharing and feedback cycles, including rich media support, Avid Pro Tools integration, dynamic watermarking for proprietary content protection, and custom branding.
With the new DocSend Advanced Data Rooms, businesses can securely share impactful proprietary information faster, reducing administrative burdens and allowing teams to focus more on closing deals.
The release also introduces Dropbox Dash (beta), an AI-powered universal search tool designed to simplify users' workday by helping them find what they need more efficiently. Dropbox Dash is currently in beta and is only available in the U.S. in English, with new features beginning to roll out.
Finally, the update enhances the recently redesigned web experience, offering improved file previews, new quick actions, and dynamic filters.
