Delta Emulator debuts on Apple App Store, allowing NES, N64, & GBA emulation for free
The Delta Emulator has finally launched on the Apple App Store, just a couple of weeks after Apple officially announced that it will allow game emulators in its store, marking a noteworthy advancement in iPhone gaming emulation. The free app provides a wide range of console emulation, including systems such as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance and Sega Genesis.
Delta is accessible on the App Store in several countries outside the EU, with EU users able to access it through the also recently launched AltStore PAL third-party App Store. The app features dynamic on-screen buttons that adjust their layout and appearance according to the emulated system, ensuring a user-friendly experience. Delta further enhances the gaming experience by auto-fetching box art for games and allowing users to personalize it using its own database or their own images. It supports multiplayer for NES, SNES, and N64 games, allowing up to four players, and supports AirPlay streaming. The emulator also supports Bluetooth controllers like Xbox One Series S or PS5 controllers, with customizable layouts and extra buttons for quick save states and fast-forwarding through cutscenes.
Despite its recent arrival on the App Store, Delta originally debuted in 2019 alongside Testut's original AltStore, and after years of development and refinement, it is likely one of the game emulators offering the best experience available on the iPhone today (Plus, it probably won't be removed from the App Store as quickly as others).
