scrcpy 2.4 released with UHID keyboard & mouse support, improved tilt simulation, and more

scrcpy, the open source software designed for mirroring and controlling Android devices, has unveiled its 2.4 version. The update introduces several new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to improve the user experience.

A key feature of the new version is the addition of UHID keyboard and mouse support. This feature is a significant upgrade for typing text, particularly in non-English languages. The UHID keyboard simulates a physical keyboard, offering a wider range of characters compared to the default text injection method, which is limited to ASCII and a few other characters.

The new update also introduces a variant for the existing feature that simulates two symmetric fingers. Previously, users could pinch-to-zoom or rotate by using Ctrl+click-and-move. With the update, they can now tilt by using Shift+click-and-move-up-or-down.

Scrcpy 2.4 extends its support to rotation for non-default display, and features an improved audio player. The update also includes FFmpeg 6.1.1 and libusb 1.0.27 for Windows releases, along with other enhancements and bug fixes.
