MacPaw launches CleanMyPhone, a new alternative to declutter and organize photos on iOS
MacPaw, known being the developers of the subscription based third-party app store Setapp, and for popular system cleaning apps such as CleanMyMac and CleanMyPC, has introduced a new app called CleanMyPhone. Designed for iPhone and iPad, the app targets duplicate photos and other unnecessary images to free up storage space, similar to CleanMyMac but specifically for mobile devices.
CleanMyPhone's main function is to declutter and organize photo libraries, with its interface divided into three main tabs: declutter, organize, and network. The declutter feature scans for duplicate content such as photos, screenshots, TikTok videos, app folders, and blurred images. The organize feature sorts photos based on time frames and content, making it easier to create new folders for better organization, and the Network tab allows users to perform speed tests similar to CleanMyMac as well.
The free version of CleanMyPhone has certain limitations, including restricted access to the "Other" category for organization and inability to mark sensitive content, but users can unlock full access with a $24.99 annual subscription. MacPaw has plans to introduce a one-time fee option in the future. Other interesting alternatives to this service could be the duplicate cleaning feature offered by Google Photos, or other dedicated third-party apps like Ollie - AI Photo Organizer, Gemini Photos or Swipewipe.
