Kodi 20.5 launches as the final release in Nexus line with bug fixes and improvements

Kodi, the well-known open source media center, has recently launched version 20.5, the latest final release from its Nexus line. According to the announcement by the Kodi team, they are hoping that this will indeed be the final release for the Nexus line, stating that “Nexus just won't end”!

Kodi 20.5 Nexus is primarily characterized by a variety of bug fixes and some backports. However, it does not bring any significant new features to the table. One of the key updates is the reversal of several controller changes that previously led to large-scale failures on Android devices. Input handling in version 20.5 will now align with the system used in 20.3.

The new release also introduces improvements and fixes for Android, Linux, and iOS/tvOS. Additionally, it includes some behind-the-scenes updates, such as library version changes.

As Kodi 20.5 Nexus is a point release, there are no substantial changes from the previous version. Users with any existing Kodi 20.x installation should be able to install this update directly, without any complications.
