Google releases native version of Chrome for ARM-compatible Windows PCs

Google has recently announced that a full version of Chrome will be available for download on ARM-compatible Windows PCs powered by Snapdragon, starting this week. This new release is fully optimized for the PC’s hardware and operating system to ensure faster and smoother web browsing.

Based on recent benchmark testing, Google anticipates Chrome to see a significant performance boost with the forthcoming Snapdragon X Elite from Qualcomm. This official release comes two months after an early version of the browser was spotted in Chrome’s Canary channel.

The release is significant for Chrome users with Windows machines powered by ARM-based processors, as they will now have access to a faster native browser. This is a contrast to the x64 version of Chrome they previously had to run in an emulated state, which resulted in slower performance.

Despite the availability of Microsoft Edge, which has had an ARM version for years, many users prefer to stick with Chrome. Statcounter reports that over 65% of desktop users opt for Google Chrome, indicating its widespread popularity.
