Microsoft confirms the four Xbox games heading to Switch and Playstation consoles
As revealed last week, today Microsoft has confirmed the 4 titles previously Xbox-exclusives that would arrive on Nintendo Switch and Playstation consoles, these being the rumored Grounded, Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, and Sea of Thieves. It is worth noting that only Grounded and Pentiment will arrive on Switch, while all 4 titles will be playable on PS5, most likely due to the technical limitations of the Nintendo console.
The first to arrive is Pentiment, a 2D narrative mystery adventure set in the Middle Ages, coming to PS4, PS5, and Switch on February 22nd. Hi-Fi Rush, a vibrant rhythm hack-n-slash, lands on PS5 alone on March 19th. On April 16th, Grounded, pretty much the unofficial Honey, I Shrunk the Kids survival game, will come to PS4, PS5, and Switch. And the last one available on April 30th would be Sea of Thieves, a popular multiplayer pirate game.
These 4 games signify Microsoft's move towards broader accessibility and cross-platform play, aiming to reach a wider audience, and hinting at a potential future where exclusivity in console gaming might be phased out, mirroring trends seen in other forms of media content. Although I must admit it takes two to tango (see what I did there? he).
