Trakt.tv launches Streaming Scrobbler to sync viewing history across streaming platforms

Trakt.tv has launched a new feature, the Streaming Scrobbler, which allows users to automatically sync their viewing history and ratings from popular streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and Apple TV directly to their Trakt account.

Once a service is connected, users can opt to sync their entire watch history or just new data moving forward. The initial synchronization happens about 10 minutes after linking a service, with regular updates occurring every 24 hours to ensure the account remains current.

The Streaming Scrobbler is available on iOS and Android, allowing users to manage service connections and undo syncs. For Hulu, watched history is imported using the original release date, but new content has accurate timestamps. Currently the tool syncs watched history and ratings, with future updates potentially adding watchlist syncing and more streaming platforms to come.
