The Microsoft Store now offers an enhanced library, faster downloads & improved insights

Microsoft has released a blog post highlighting some of the major updates to the Microsoft Store app on Windows 11 and 10 for 2024, including a significant change to the Library section, which is now divided into two parts: Update, offering detailed changelogs and version numbers for app updates, and Library, allowing users to explore their owned content such as apps, games, and movies, with the addition of a new search bar to simplify navigation through large libraries.

Other improvements include redesigned product listing pages with a new install progress bar that shows app size and completion percentage, offering better download insights. Game categories now have quick links for direct access to specific genres, and product pages automatically play trailers or display a hero image if a trailer is unavailable.

Other updates include Win32 app support for web installation, improved search with personalized recommendations, and optimizations reducing app launch times by 25% and download failures by 50%.
