Stremio launches its 5.0 version for Windows with improvements in its UI and performance

Stremio has launched its latest version, Stremio 5, for Windows users. This release includes a complete UI rewrite, using Stremio Web to maintain a familiar design while enhancing performance.

The shell has been redesigned with a state-of-the-art tech stack, offering a faster and more resource-efficient experience than its predecessor. Currently optimized for Windows, versions for macOS and Linux are in development to ensure platform-specific performance enhancements.

A new code signing certificate has been implemented, which may initially trigger a "Windows protected your PC" alert during installation, set to resolve after widespread adoption. Although the website cache may take up to 24 hours to update, the download link for Stremio 5 is already accessible.
