PeerTube v7 introduces redesigned interface, enhanced navigation, & improved accessibility
PeerTube has launched version 7, introducing a redesigned interface that emphasizes simplicity and accessibility for this decentralized video-sharing platform. The update includes a new Light/beige default theme and a Dark/brown theme, with a focus on reducing breakages with existing custom themes. Layouts and menus have been revamped to highlight relevant information and enhance user navigation.
A new “video space” section caters specifically to video uploaders, while admin pages are now divided into Overview, Moderation, and Settings for streamlined management. The left bar and header menus have been reorganized for intuitive access, with account settings and notifications now available in the header menu.
Platform owners gain more customization options, and video miniatures now consistently display channel avatars for easier creator identification. Titles are emphasized, while dates and view counts are subtly presented. Additionally, a new modal simplifies caption editing, and the platform now supports Slovak language, alongside various accessibility improvements and bug fixes.
