Luma partners with Amazon to bring its advanced AI Models Luma Photon and Ray 2 to Bedrock

Luma AI has announced a partnership with Amazon, integrating its advanced creative intelligence models into Amazon Bedrock. This collaboration focuses on providing Generative AI (GenAI) solutions to startups and enterprises globally.

The partnership introduces Luma Photon and Photon Flash, models that set a new standard for intelligent image generation, offering tools for creating high-quality, imaginative visuals. Additionally, Luma AI is launching Luma Ray 2, its most advanced AI Video Model designed for text-to-video generation. Luma Ray 2 can produce 5–10 second high-quality, lifelike videos from text and image inputs, emphasizing cinematic quality with smooth motion and dynamic storytelling. Apart from Bedrock, the new video model is also accessible through Luma AI’s recently launched Dream Machine service.

The technology behind Luma Ray 2 is a highly scalable transformer model trained directly on video data, differing from traditional methods. This model enables users to transform simple snapshots into captivating videos, making professional-grade video creation more accessible. The partnership ensures that both startups and large enterprises can leverage these tools within the AWS ecosystem.
