Yes, flip phones are still available for those that don't want or need a "smart" phone. I recently bought one for my mom. I also have a basic phone. It just doesn't fold like a flip phone.
Yes, I know basic (i.e. non smart) phones still exist. But I doubt any of those still available today are actually flip phones (like the good ol' Motorola StarTac). I may be wrong, I haven't looked at the non smart phone market in many, many years In any case, I think that the AI that "wrote" this article (Fla) actually meant to say "cellular phones", which would be a much more suitable term to oppose "landlines"
The options definitely aren't plentiful, but as I already said, new 4G flip phones are indeed available. As for the article.... no doubt, typical AI generated nonsense.
